Part of my process in sound design includes cultivating a Spotify playlist as well as creating a look book of images that speak to the emotional quality of the play. Below are audio clips from the plays along playlists that I built to help craft the world.
LOBSTER is a play set in an out-of-use portable classroom, the Chelsea Hotel, and a young woman's mind. There was a lot of work in the design to establish these different worlds and how they all intersect and dissolve into each other by the end of the play.
Our production of Everbody examined our existence via reason in order to gain the wisdom to be better humans. It questioned reality and consciousness.
Our production of Tartuffe was set in Virginia in 1988, I wanted to play into the use of redaction of the time. Our story focused on Dorinne and her loss of control.
