my process.

This was a beautiful show to be able to design. This was my first live zoom production, which was streamed over Vimeo, so there were a lot of challenges to face in regards to live audio.

My next steps involve a conversation with the director. In this case, Mary and I were interested in exploring the transitions mostly for the sound design. I wanted to ground the actors in space during the transitions so the audience could understand where they were. I was also interested in using water throughout as a theme.

To accomplish live audio in the zoom, I used Cleanfeed so there was no DSP issue in zoom. This proved its own challenges as sometimes the audio would be heard through the actors' zooms. All fun and exciting challenges during the process.
